JOB INFORMATION
 
Background & Description:
- Gamesa has designed and developed a new wind turbine product in Spain. This product will be introduced into Chinese market and manufactured in Gamesa China. We are looking for a Deputy Project Leader to manage the development of this product: to redesign some components and process in order to adapt the product to Chinese clients′ requirements.
- This person will be responsible of a group of mechanical and electrical engineers specialised in the design and calculation of components and products for wind turbine.  
 
Work place:  Tianjin (China)
Report to: Chief Project Director (Spanish nationality)
Retribution: Negotiable
 
Functions / Responsibilities:
- Technical
·Management of knowledge on component, process and product, be vigilant of the technology and proposal for technological development of operating systems.
·Definition of process and procedures for the development of products and technology.
·Management of validation and industrialization during the development of project (transversility).
·Implementation of product technology in local projects.
·Planning for product and process design, for development of component, for assignment of resources, and for implementation of project.
·Coordination with designers to complete basic design, technical specifications, and engineering scope division, budget estimate, etc.
·Coordination and communication with chief product engineer and all team members to give technical support to local projects.
·Necessary contact with suppliers and clients in China.
- Management of technical team
·Work in multinational environment and contact with technicians between China and Spain.
·Leadership in team work among 5-10 engineers specialised in the design and calculation for operating systems, including their qualification, training, monitoring, evaluation, etc.
·Management and assignment of members from different sections working on the projects.
 
Minimum requirements:
- Academic Education: Bachelor degree in engineering (Electrical, Industrial, Aeronautic).
- Additional Knowledge required:
·Leadership
·Development of component and products
·Management of project
·Basic wind turbine knowledge
·Basic knowledge of systems of mechanical or electrical
- Language: High nivel of English and Chinese (reading, writing and oral)
 
Experience:
- 5-10 years’ experience with industrial activities of product design and development, preferably for wind turbine systems.
- Experience in team work management.
 
Other requirement:
- Availability for travel to and stay in Spain for determined period.
